Tandoori Chicken Recipe

Serving size – 4

Utensils required - Large bowl, Spatula, Baking sheet and cooling rack

Ingredients 2 lbs. chicken drumstick

3/4 teaspoon salt 3 tablespoons plain yogurt 6 tablespoons oil (olive oil / vegetable oil)

2 tablespoons lemon juice

(You can find all the below ingredients in an Indian grocery store) 3 tablespoons ginger garlic paste 1/2 teaspoon chili powder

1/2 teaspoon cumin powder 1 teaspoon coriander powder 1 teaspoon garam masala 1 teaspoon chaat masala 1/2 teaspoon kasoori methi (fenugreek leaf powder)

Procedure

1. Score the chicken drumsticks in the fleshy area. Scoring the chicken will allow the spices to get into the meat and make the chicken tandoori more flavorful. 2. Add 3 tablespoons plain yogurt, 1/2 teaspoon chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder, 1 teaspoon coriander powder, 1 teaspoon garam masala, 1 teaspoon chaat masala, 1/2 teaspoon kasoori methi powder (fenugreek leaf powder), 3/ 4 teaspoon salt, 3 tablespoons ginger garlic paste, 2 tablespoons lemon juice and 6 table spoons of oil in a large bowl and mix well. 3. Add the chicken drumsticks into the bowl and marinate the chicken for 1 hour. 4. Preheat the conventional oven to 400 degree Fahrenheit.

5. Bake the marinated chicken drumsticks for 30 minutes at 400 degree Fahrenheit.

6. After 30 minutes take the chicken out of the oven. Brush the chicken drumsticks with oil and broil on low heat. When the Chicken turns golden brown, switch off the oven.

7. Squeeze some fresh lemon juice on the tandoori chicken and serve it warm.
